How to Play Tetris Abyss

Objective: Arrange falling tetrominoes (shapes made of four blocks) to form complete horizontal lines on a 10x20 grid. Clear lines to earn points and survive as long as possible. The game ends if blocks stack to the top.

Controls:

• Arrow Keys:
  • Left/Right: Move the current piece sideways.
  • Down: Speed up the piece’s descent.
  • Up: Rotate the piece clockwise.
• Spacebar: Instantly drop the piece to the bottom.
• P Key: Use a power-up (if available) to clear random blocks.
• Pause Button: Click the "Pause" button (or "Resume" when paused) to halt or continue the game.

Gameplay:

1. Start: Launch the game, and blocks begin falling. The haunting wind soundtrack sets the mood, and narration (if enabled) welcomes you.
2. Stack Blocks: Guide each tetromino to fit snugly on the grid. Rotate and position them to fill gaps without leaving holes.
3. Clear Lines: Complete a horizontal row to clear it, earning 100 points per line (scaled by level). Multiple lines cleared at once boost your score.
4. Level Up: Reach 1000 points times your current level to advance (e.g., 1000 for level 2). Higher levels make blocks fall faster.
5. Power-Ups: Randomly gain power-ups (up to 3). Press P to clear scattered blocks, helping you recover from messy stacks.
6. Watch for Events: The abyss may shake, spawn ghost blocks, or offer power-ups. Stay sharp—narration warns you of these twists.
7. Survive: Keep the grid clear. If blocks reach the top, it’s game over, and the abyss claims you.

Tips:

• Plan ahead: Look for gaps and rotate pieces to fit.
• Save power-ups for desperate moments.
• Hard-drop with Space to score faster, but be precise.
• Toggle narration off (via the checkbox) if you prefer silence.

Game Over: When the grid overflows, the screen darkens, and "Game Over" appears. Reload the page to try again and chase a higher score.
